After meeting through collaboration in The Sidecar Bar Band, drummer Jamie Phillips and saxophonist Mikel Prester are back in a very unique form for "modern" music. Playing acoustic guitars, Jamie composed about a dozen or more tracks and asked Mikel to come lay some color to his canvas. The vision was an all acoustic mix of songs that could be played around the campfire, at anytime, anywhere, and the only rule: ONLY ACOUSTIC INSTRUMENTS. This has led to a very interesting interpretation of live music. Experimental, spiritual and eco-friendly, By The Campfire is only a duo now, but will quite possibly lead to include many artists at any one time. Tracks are currently being recorded for their debut full-length album entitled "Ghost Stories", due out later this year.
